Consensus Meeting – Community Health Study, January 14, 2026
The Community Health Study Committee has completed a 2 1/2 year-long investigation
of the current needs and resources available to Santa Fe County residents. The next
step in the process is for the League membership to come to a consensus on the
responsibilities of local governments related to community health. From that, the League will
develop a position that will be the basis of advocacy efforts.
The consensus meeting is open to all LWVSFC members and will take place from
10:00 to Noon on January 14, 2026, at St. Johns United Methodist Church on Old
Pecos Trail.
Please plan to attend! Conducting studies to develop positions is a central part of the
League’s Program Activities.
Below is the link to background papers about the issues and research conducted by the
Committee. In addition, there is a description of the consensus process as well as the
Consensus Questions. Please familiarize yourself with the information in these
documents so that you may fully participate in the consensus meeting discussions.
Each document offers unique information that we will consider as we discuss the
consensus questions.
This will be an in-person event only. We will provide copies of the consensus
questions and agenda at the meeting. However, no paper copies of the background
papers will be available at the meeting. Please plan to either print out copies for
yourself or bring an electronic device on which you can review documents in real
time.
