LWVSFC Annual Meeting Highlights

Members who attended the LWVSFC annual meeting May 10 learned the incredible scope of our 2024-25 activities through officer and director reports.

Among the highlights of our year:

  • We registered hundreds of adult and high school student voters;
  • We printed 23,000 Voter Guides while also contributing to the digital Vote411 guide;
  • We held candidate forums;
  • We conducted a membership survey;
  • We participated in the national League’s Federal Judiciary Study while continuing work on our own Community Health Study;
  • We updated our website and launched on new social media platforms;
  • We hosted a legislative luncheon for our Santa Fe County legislators;
  • We hosted a panel discussion for Sunshine Week;
  • We brought the ACLU’s Leon Howard to the LWV state convention (which we hosted here in Santa Fe).

The annual meeting was held via Zoom and in person at St. John’s United Methodist Church. Following the morning business meeting, we heard from keynote speaker Maya Clifford, general manager of Eldorado Area Water and Sanitation District, about the future of Santa Fe County’s water supply.
