How to Register to Vote in Santa Fe County
To register to vote, you may call the County Clerk/Bureau of Elections Office (505-986-6280) to request that a registration form be mailed to you. Or you may register in person at the County Clerk's office, the Motor Vehicle Division, or any state office providing public assistance to those with disabilities. If your voter registration card does not arrive within three weeks, contact the County Clerk's office.
During regular business hours, you may register at any of these locations:
- County Clerk/Bureau of Elections Office, 102 Grant Avenue, Santa Fe, NM 87501
- City Clerk's Office, Room 210, City Hall, 200 Lincoln Avenue, Santa Fe, NM 87501
- Secretary of State's Office, 325 Don Gaspar, Suite 300, Santa Fe, NM 87501
- State Motor Vehicle Division Field Office, 2544 Camino Edward Ortiz, Santa Fe, NM 87505
- Santa Fe Community College, Room 311, 6401 Richards Avenue, Santa Fe, NM 87508
- Public libraries: Main, 145 Washington Avenue; La Farge Branch, 1730 Llano; Southside Library, 6599 Jaguar Drive
When to Re-Register
You must re-register to vote if you:
- Legally change your name by marriage or otherwise.
- Change your residence.
- Change party affiliation.
If You Need Help
If you need help registering to vote in Santa Fe County, call the League office at (505) 982-9766 and, if no one is there, leave a message and we will respond promptly.
