What is the League?
The League of Women Voters is a respected national grassroots organization that focuses on four key actions:
- educating citizens and fostering dialogue on pertinent issues.
- helping create positive, lasting change in our communities.
- empowering millions of voters to protect their right to vote.
- protecting constitutional rights and fighting for a strong democracy.
The League is an organization where individuals like you are actively engaged in creating positive change on the local, state, and national levels. Become a member, serve as a leader, and work to shape the important issues that keep our communities strong.
Who can join?
Regular membership is open to men and women 18 years or older. Annual dues are $48 per person, $80 for two people in the same household, and $25 for students or associates. Membership in the League of Women Voters of Santa Fe automatically includes membership in the LWVUS and LWVNM. Dues are not tax-deductible.
As a member, how involved do I have to be?
It's up to you! Many members choose to support the work of the League by paying annual dues even if they do not have time to participate actively. Others support the League by making a tax deductible donation to the League's Education Fund. Your membership alone gives us the political influence needed to build a voice for citizens and a force for change. You may choose to become involved by studying an issue, participating in community forums, monitoring public meetings, registering people to vote, or serving in a leadership role.

Please print and fill out both forms and mail to the address provided on the forms with a check made out to LWVSFC. Call the League office at (505) 982-9766 or email membership@lwvsfc.org for more information about the benefits of League membership.
